QIC-EX definition - computer

(Quarter Inch Cartridge-EXtra) A QIC cartridge from Verbatim that uses longer tape and extends the cartridge depth to accommodate it. QIC-EX cartridges are available in .25" tape formats for earlier DC-2000 drives as well as in .315" tape for Travan drives. See QIC, QIC-Wide and Travan.
