programmable keypad
An auxiliary keypad that can be programmed to enter strings of text and commands with one keystroke. It connects between the keyboard and the computer and is entirely self contained without using software. Also known as "macro keypads," such devices are extremely helpful when applications require entering long sequences of menu and keyboard commands over and over. They can also be used to enter repetitive strings of text.
