(Public Key Cryptography Standards) Specifications from RSA Laboratories for various techniques used with RSA public key cryptography. With cooperation from security experts worldwide, PKCS #1 covers the RSA standard itself. There are approximately a dozen more PKCS specifications, with PKCS #7 being prominent because it deals with the syntax for embedding digital signatures. See code signing.
