A multiuser operating environment and database management system (DBMS) from Raining Data Corporation, Irvine, CA (www.rainingdata.com) that runs on x86, PowerPC and Unix platforms. It has been highly praised for its ease of use, flexibility and advanced features. The DBMS portion of the Pick System is widely used in third-party products. R83 is the original Pick System. R93 and Advanced Pick are later versions. D3 is the DBMS, and D3 Pro Plus is a Linux/DBMS package.

The Pick System was originally developed by Richard Pick, who created a system for the U.S. Army while working at TRW Corporation. He later transformed it into the Reality operating system for Microdata and then obtained the right to license it to others. In 2000, Pick Systems, Inc. merged with Omnis Technology Corporation to become Raining Data Corporation.
