Communications products from the former Farallon Communications, Inc. that extended LocalTalk distances to 3,000 feet and used unshielded twisted phone lines instead of shielded twisted pair. In 2000, Proxim Corporation, Sunnyvale, CA, a specialist in wireless broadband networking, acquired Farallon and integrated the PhoneNET product line into its home office and small business networking markets.
