Parallels Workstation definition - computer

Virtual machine software from Parallels, Inc., Renton, WA (www.parallels.com) that allows versions of Windows and Linux to run on the same x86-based PC. Parallels Workstation supports Windows 2000, XP and Vista client operating systems, Windows 2000 and 2003 server versions, as well as numerous Linux distributions, including Red Hat, SUSE and Ubuntu.

The Parallels virtual machine software that supports the Mac is Parallels Desktop for Mac (see Parallels Desktop).
