Founded in 1994, it augmented the object and Internet standards community and served as an intermediary between them and ISVs and users. The OTG hosted the Object Oriented Technology & Symposium (OOTS) conferences for communications and media, the financial industry and the Federal Government. The functions of this organization were absorbed into the non-profit Interoperability Clearinghouse at www.ichnet.org.
