(Open Network Video Interface Forum, San Ramon, CA, www.onvif.org) A membership organization devoted to the development of a standard interface for the network video market. Founded in 2008 by Axis Communications, Sony, Bosch and others, ONVIF is open to all companies interested in communications between network cameras and network recorders. See network camera.
