NetWare 6

NetWare 6 definition - computer

A major upgrade to NetWare in 2001. It includes disk pooling, which enables all disks in a storage subsystem to be treated as one, and also allows users to map a drive on the Internet for remote file storage or backup. Novell Internet Printing (NIP) has been added, which enables printing documents directly across the Internet using the Internet Printing Protocol (IPP). Mobile users can obtain automatic backup with the new iFolder synchronization feature, and users can access NetWare 6 from their Web browser eliminating the need for client-side software requirement. See MPK.
