multipath

multipath definition - computer

Refers to a radio signal that winds up taking two or more paths because the signal is reflected off buildings or other obstructions. Although multipath is a problem with all kinds of radio transmission, ghosts on a TV channel are an example of multipath that you can see with your own eyes. See antenna diversity.
