mouseover
A JavaScript instruction that is used to test the current position of the mouse. For example, it is widely used to change the appearance of a button used as a hyperlink to another page. Two buttons are created: one in the normal state, the other altered, typically having a "depressed" look. Using "on mouseover" in a JavaScript statement that relates to the image enables the altered image to be displayed.
