Mac Dock

Mac Dock definition - computer

The launching pad for applications in the Macintosh. Working like an animated taskbar, the Dock was introduced with Mac OS X. As the cursor is moved along the Dock, the icons are magnified, and this creates a rippling effect. The Dock can be located at the sides or bottom of the screen and can be set to autohide. Icon size and their amount of magnification can also be adjusted.
