Lotus Symphony

Lotus Symphony definition - computer

A free office suite for Windows and Linux from IBM. Introduced in 2007, and comprised of word processor, spreadsheet and presentation graphics applications, Lotus Symphony natively supports the OpenDocument format, but also imports most Microsoft formats. Symphony is also given to buyers of IBM Lotus Notes.

Programs in the Symphony suite are modern versions of earlier Lotus software, such as Lotus 1-2-3, the spreadsheet that greatly helped popularize the IBM PC in the 1980s. For more information, visit http://symphony.lotus.com.
