LIMDOW definition - computer

(Light Intensity Modulation Direct OverWrite) An enhancement of the magneto-optic technology that improves writing speed by allowing a bit to be written in one pass instead of two. The LIMDOW media is more costly than standard non-direct overwrite MO media. Many MO drives support both types. See direct overwrite.
