Keychain definition - computer

(1) The password management system in the Mac. Introduced in Mac OS 8.6 to keep track of logins for multiple e-mail accounts, the Keychain was later enhanced to include passwords for networks, applications and the Internet, as well as for encryption keys and digital certificates.
