ImageLock definition - computer

(ImageLock, Inc., San Francisco, CA) A now-defunct subscription service that searched for copies of images on the Web. Used by organizations that wished to protect their intellectual property, ImageLock routinely sent out a spider to "fingerprint" images (logos, banners, icons, etc.) all over the Web and then matched them to the fingerprints of the subscriber's images.
