IDE host adapter

IDE host adapter definition - computer

An earlier expansion board that plugged into a PC and contained the connection for up to four IDE hard disks. It generally also provided controllers for two floppy disks, two serial, one parallel and one game port. All these circuits were later built into the motherboard. See IDE.
