iTouch
(1) See iPod touch.
(2) The touch screen technology used in a line of Touchmonitor CRTs from Elo TouchSystems (www.elotouch.com). Rather than using a vulnerable touch screen overlay, iTouch transmits ultrasonic waves horizonally and vertically within the display surface of the glass tube. When an area is touched, some waves are absorbed, and received signals are compared. Elo's parent company is Tyco Electronics.
(3) A number of companies throughout the world use the iTouch name. For example, iTouch in Nashville, TN (www.itouch.ws) is a developer and distributor of home automation systems, founded in 1999.
