The third version of Apple's iPhone operating system, announced in March 2009 for a June release. A raft of features are expected, including cut, copy and paste, glaringly missing in previous versions, a global search, multiplayer gaming, turn-by-turn navigation (requires third-party app), upgrade purchasing within the application, push notifications, multimedia messaging (MMS) and a host of others.
