graphics viewer
An application that displays graphics file formats. Although such programs provide basic image editing, their main purpose is to quickly preview and organize images. They also show the details of a file's attributes such as file size, resolution in dpi and inches and so on. The difference between a graphics viewer and a photo viewer is the number of formats they support. A graphics viewer may support several dozen graphics formats, whereas a basic photo viewer may support only a handful. See file viewer and photo manager.
