GPSS
(General Purpose Simulation System) A programming language for discrete event simulation, which is used to build models of operations such as manufacturing environments, communications systems and traffic patterns. Originally developed by IBM for mainframes, PC versions are available, such as GPSS/World by Minuteman Software (www.minutemansoftware.com) and GPSS/H by Wolverine Software (www.wolverinesoftware.com).
