Generic CADD definition - computer

An earlier popular and full-featured 2-D CADD package for DOS. Developed in the mid-1980s, it offered levels for beginner, intermediate and advanced users. Originally developed by Generic Software, Bothell, WA, Generic CADD was acquired by Autodesk in 1989 (www.autodesk.com). When Autodesk discontinued the product in 1997, it encouraged users to switch to AutoCAD LT. See General CADD.
