G6 definition - computer
The sixth generation of IBM's CMOS-based mainframes (Parallel Enterprise Servers). Introduced in 1999, the G6 was the first enterprise server line to use IBM's copper chip technology. See IBM mainframes and Parallel Enterprise Server.
