G2
(1) (Generation 2) The second generation of a product, typically hardware, such as the Android Magic smartphone (see Android).
(2) The second generation of IBM's CMOS-based mainframes (Parallel Enterprise Servers). When introduced in 1995, there was no G2 designation, which was later added to clarify the evolution of the line. See IBM mainframes and Parallel Enterprise Server.
(3) The second generation of the RealPlayer media player from RealNetworks. The product was later renamed RealOne.
