ESD definition - computer

(1) (Electronic Software Distribution) Distributing new software and upgrades via the network rather than individual installations on each machine. See ESL.

(2) (ElectroStatic Discharge) Sparks (electrons) that jump from an electrically charged object to an approaching conductive object.

(3) (Entry Systems Division) The IBM division that conceived and developed the original IBM PC.
