editable PostScript

editable PostScript definition - computer

A file of PostScript commands that can be edited by a word processor or other program. This allows PostScript documents to be changed without requiring the use of the application that originally created it. Editing PostScript was done in the earlier days when the code was ASCII and less complex. It is rarely done today because the coding has become a lot more sophisticated, and the file is often compressed. See PostScript.
