DOS 7

DOS 7 definition - computer

In early 1995, IBM released PC-DOS 7 with enhanced memory management and virus protection. It included the Stacker data compression program as well as utilities to enhance mobile computing.

Novell, which was the first to release a DOS 7, is no longer planning new DOS versions.

The DOS included in Windows 95/98 is often called DOS 7, which is an enhanced version of DOS 6. It is unlikely that Microsoft will introduce a DOS 7 independently of Windows.
