Cydia
Open source software for iPhones that allows third-party applications to be installed without going through the App Store. Cydia, along with an earlier program called "installer.app," were available before the Apple App Store debuted. In order to use Cydia, which is the name of a destructive moth found in apple orchards, the iPhone must be jailbroken. See jailbreak and iPhone.
