CDMA450

CDMA450 definition - computer

A CDMA2000 cellular system that operates in the 450-470 MHz frequency band rather than the 900, 1,800 and 2,100 MHz ranges. CDMA450 reduces the number of cells in a network because the lower frequency transmits longer distances. As of January 2009, approximately one hundred cellular carriers offered CDMA450 in 51 countries around the world except in North America and Australia. See CDMA2000.
