bogon space definition - computer

Unassigned IP addresses on the Internet. Packets destined for bogon space may have been unintentionally corrupted or be purposefully created to attack a computer system or network. Derived from "bogus," addresses may be in bogon space one day and the next day be legitimate addresses assigned to an ISP by IANA. See bogon filtering.
