BCP documents definition - computer

(Best Current Practices documents) Documents that have the technical approval of the IETF. In order to be published, they go through a process similar to an RFC, but they serve as documentation, not official Internet standards. They specify recommended ways to use protocols and configuration options to ensure interoperability. See Internet Engineering Task Force and RFC.
