B: definition - computer

The designation for the second floppy disk drive in a PC. In earlier PCs that had two floppy drives, the 3.5" drive was typically A:, and the 5.25" drive was B:. Since the 5.25" floppy is obsolete, the B: is rarely seen anymore.
