AVC definition - computer

(1) (Advanced Video Coding) The video compression techniques used in the H.264 standard, jointly developed by ISO and the ITU-T. See H.264.

(2) (Audio Visual Connection) Earlier multimedia software from IBM that worked in conjunction with IBM's Audio Capture and Video Capture boards for the PS/2. It allowed users to integrate sound and pictures into applications and included an authoring language.
