8514/A definition - computer

An early high-resolution PC display adapter with 2D graphics acceleration from IBM. Designed for Micro Channel machines and as a second monitor for dual screen display, it provided an interlaced 1,024x768x256 resolution. Third parties provided non-interlaced versions for the ISA bus.
