10/100 hub definition - computer

An Ethernet hub that automatically senses the speed (10 or 100 Mbps) of the device at the other end. Most Ethernet hubs still in use are 10/100 hubs rather than 10 Mbps only. See Ethernet, 10/100 adapter and 10/100 switch.
