Euphony as opposed to cacophony

It’s a picture of her smiling. It will always be smiling.

How does “cacophony” differ from “euphony”?

A cacophony is a loud clash of music, or noise, e.g. all the instruments of a symphony orchestra tuning their instruments at the same time, may be a cacophony.
A euphony is a pleasing sound, akin, say, to the music all the instruments make when playing a piece of beautiful music by some composer, e.g. Mozart.

Cacophony also has more letters and syllables than euphony.

How does “cacophony” differ from “euphony”

You can’t play a cacophonium.

It would sound like caca, for sure.

But you can play a eukulele.

Nope, Baruchodonosor plays a sitar.

And do you find it euphonic?

I find that Ravel’s “Pavane for a Princess” or Saint-Sean’s Aviary tend to be euphonic.
