segregate
1542, from L. segregatus, pp. of segregare “separate from the flock, isolate, divide,” from *se gregare, from se “apart from” (see secret) + grege, ablative of grex “herd, flock.” Originally often with ref. to the religious notion of separating the flock of the godly from sinners. Segregation (1555) is from L.L. segregatio, from L. segregatus; in the specific U.S. racial sense it is attested from 1903; segregationist is from the 1920s.
Yes, I was unable to get to forums, could do it in a round about way, by accessing old notifications in my delete box, but that was all. Got back on today, thanks to GOG.
Do we ever do what the thread says? Congregate sounds too much like some church. Segregate sounds prejudiced, as in, “I am prejudiced agin’ caroliners”.
I never seem to have any trouble getting on. occasionally loses connection and notification e-mail have stopped but otherwise ok.

You could use the term incongregate, which logically means the same thing as segregate without sounding prejudiced—and has an I-don’t-like-church connotation to boot. I think it’s a good solution for you.
You brought up segregation, even if in a question. Not me. And don’t forget the Civil War and your state’s secession over it.
Our only segregation is for people who do not worship the Cornhuskers Football, which, of course, is the rest of the world.
