I hate to criticize a site that provides me with daily reading material I enjoy, but for the past few days, a new format has replaced the familiar, funny one. I don’t understand why. The new format is not in any way superior. It is dry, humorless, and uninteresting, as well as laconic; gone are the tantalizing tidbits that we looked forward to reading every day. I can go to any collegiate dictionary to get the type of entry you now display. May I ask what happened to Dr. Language and why he/she is no longer writing the entries? Will the good doctor come back to minister to those of us who read the entries for the humor and the linguistic blurbs? I don’t recall that the switch was explained to readers. Provided that Dr. Language has not retired or otherwise disappeared, please consider bringing him/her back. If he or she is not coming back, then please tell us so we can decide whether we want to continue our subscription. Thank you so much. Hermione.
