Three or more words, phrases or clauses in series are separted by commas.

Does this include main clauses, overruling the comma splice?

I’ve seen it before, but this doesn’t mean it’s right.

As long as there is a conjunction after the last clause, it OK.

Ernie laughed, Bert cried, and I slept through it all.
