Back when Roe v Wade was decided, science did not have the ability (that it now has), to look inside the womb. Today at 12 weeks, we can see, that what was thought to be just a glob of cells, is actually a baby forming; one that sucks it’s thumb and can play with it’s toes (at 12 weeks)!

Therefore when the term “person” is used, science does help us to establish the definition by proving that their is a new person growing in the womb and it is not just a glob of cells.

Some lawmakers and others however (who deny this evidence), say that a person is not a person, until it comes out of the womb. But by scientific evidence, we can establish that ” a person” can be defined this way, “any genetically unique human being that is formed or is forming, regardless if it is in the womb or not.”

Sometimes words must succumb to new evidence.  WOL

I no longer suck my thumb, nor can I reach my toes.  Haven’t been in a womb for ages.

Am I still a person ?  Does the culling never stop ?

the idea that it is “news” that a tiny thing that looks “human” exists at 12 weeks is not accurate.  That has been known for a very long time.  It is not necessary to see it as we do now to see it.  Little “humans” were seen in dissection a very long time ago.

What is undeniable is that at 12 weeks, that “human” cannot exist except as an attachment to another fully autonomous human.  The “human” cannot live on its own. 

I have no argument with people who want to save these “humans”.  I just think they should offer first a womb and then a home to those “humans”  whose humans cannot take care of them for whatever reason.

You offering a womb for the non-viable?  you offering a home to the homeless?
