Definition for dope:

stupid person

Example: He is such a dope.

Also a synonym for “drugs”, opium, heroin, marajuana, etc.

Out here it is bailing wire and duck tape. No dope involved, except the ones who use the stuff.

you use dope as another term for drugs right? (e.g Give me a dope.)

perhaps…  because you can say it in that way, however it is more like of slang word. Americans usually use that for some purposes like… instead of saying “can you give me a drug” they say “can you give me a dope”, what cha think? sounds cooler right? hehe~ ^^,

Oh really??...  sluggish me… therefore it means to say that you guys use it or consider it as a slang word… I thought it can be an idiom… ~^^~

I think it is more of a slang word.  An idiom seems to imply more than one word in a phrase.
Dope is drugs.
All doped up (meaning “high on drugs”) would be an idiom
