Incidentally, I live in a neighborhood where all the streets are named after Fords. There are Maverick, Thunderbird, Galaxie, Fairlane, Pinto, Starline, Sunline, Courier, Mustang, etc. (The owner of the local Ford dealership owned the land and was one of the developers.) There is an Edsel Drive identified on satellite photos, but it never came to be.

I finally figured that one out. Gerald Ford doesn’t immediately pop into one’s head, even when given the name Gerald. Clinton jokes are easier.

The Ford Clinton never sold: no-one was prepared to use the keyless ignition system.
