—an extravagant, erratic, or unpredictable notion, occurance or action.
The weather is one of the vagaries of nature on the Great Plains, and if you don’t like what you are experiencing, stick around 15 minutes and it will change.

If it lasts for four hours or more it does not sound to unpredictable to me.

It’s not supposed to last four hours. That’s a condition—or a vagary. Of course, you don’t watch commercials, which is why you don’t know.

Much better than learing from experience regarding that condition. (I learned it from the commercial.)

What a waste of time. Ever figure out how much of your precious time on this planet is wasted in front of the boob tube watching it, much less watching commercials?  I spend enough time
with the shows I tape, but a full 20 minutes of each 1 hour show is advertisements. I can delete 20 minutes in l minute.

I just skip the shows and save all my time for more important things—like discussiing vagaries.

Considering the rubbish on TV, that is not a bad idea: badinage, that is. Increasingly I spend more time here as well.

I have nothing against TV, but I haven’t watched it in about three month. Then, whatever I was watching was a rerun.

What I really don’t understand is why the History Channel airs so many shows about gangs and prisons. Am I mssing something historical? Is that a vagary?

I’ve wondered that myself.  Is that a comment on our Society, do you suppose.

There are really some wonderful shows on television, especially on PBS. Ken Burns’ series, The War, was gripping. But the reality shows, the gang and prison shows, and the tattoo shows? Why?

Ain’t never seen a tattoo show. what is it?
Reality shows are so fake.  Eating bugs out on some desert island as if anyone in their right mind believes it.  Of course viewers of such shows are not in their right mind.  The person is far from being
isolated: there is the cameraman, the director, the gaffer, the bestboys, the electricians, etc.  All alone: rubbish! Bugs, fake.

As for prison and gang and cops?  Because it is the average fare for so many Americans.  How many millions are in prison for doing just those crimes mentioned???

There is a show called “Inked,” about tattoo artists and their clients. I haven’t seen it, but it’s on one of those channels that purport to be educational.

I suppose it is educational to some.  But so is the study of Kudzu probably.  TV is such a waste any more.
