I have never heard that. You should have dropped drawls in Regionalisms.

I don’t drop drawls anywhere, least of all in regionalisms. It has enough dirty laundry.

So mundane. Obviously their clothes, but maybe they are dish cloths, towels, throw rugs, table coverings, napkins.  Dirty clothes for them too???

When my wife me to get all the dirty clothes from upstairs, I know to get everything. If we’re washing sheets and towels. we call them sheets and towels—or linens—or sometimes bed clothes.

Sure do: made a living in college dorm by doing it. Charged for shirts, trousers, handkerchiefs accordingly.  Earned enough money to pay some tuition as well as spending money.
Was a regular Fu Man Luke, Ironer-extraordinaire.

Me, too. Don’t charge. I’m just the ironer in my family.
