Hi -

I am a court reporter and recently had an atty. in court, explaining why he was behind on filing papers, saying his life recently was a bit “ferplunjad and fachatad” (phonetic spelling of course) and said it was an old Irish colloquialism.  I’ve been googling like crazy and can’t find this anywhere!!!  Also called him several times and can’t get ahold of him and need to get this transcript out.  Does anyone know the proper spelling?
