Painting kitchen ceiling, fixing grape arbor, and giving dog a bath, all before I go a courting.

With all that work, you should let the courer come to you.

I’ll be trimming shrubbery and hedges this weekend—the unkindest cuts of all.

Can I say I’m in the plane if it is moving? or should I say I’m on the plane? Thx

to rephrase my question: What is the difference between I’m on the airplne and I’m in the airplane?

Luck? I don’t know anything about luck. I’ve never banked on it, and I’m afraid of people who do. Luck to me is something else: Hard work—and realizing what is opportunity and what isn’t.

Well, unless you are sitting on top of the fuselage, not much.  But we refer to flying as “on the airplane”.  “In the airplane”: you are in the fuselage somewhere, but it does not have to be flying, it could
be taxiing or just sitting still somewhere.

Good day for everyone! I can see the dyamism of the site/thread/forum. I enjoy reading the flow of your conversation. I am learning new words and expressions. I’m glad to be part of this forum.
In addition to my unending preposition problems, which one is correct:
Don’t stay on the same spot.
Don’t stay in the same spot.

Thanks for helping me!  LOL

Don’t stay on the same spot. Don’t stay in the same spot.

Don’t stay in the same spot means don’t remain in the same place.
Don’t stay on the same spot would require a real spot.

like sapparis mentioned, in refers to comparing and contrasting different items while on would refer to a singular item
