coming to a sharp point, as in needle, pencil, nail, etc.
Sounds like acumen, and they might think it is complimentary, but actually in this sense means “Pointy-headed”.
Acuminate can also mean precise, coming to the point in a quick and meaningful way.
I changed topic because purlieu had died and was attracting more russians.

So can you acuminate a pencil until it’s no longer acuminated?
