I have read a message that states: How about lunch? What are the possible scenarios/situations that this sentence could be involved? Thanks for the responses.
I hope that I’d put it in a correct thread.

“There. Put me to death. An inmate assaulting a Knight of the Round should be good reason enough for anyone.”

99 percent of the time, “How about lunch” means “Do you want to have lunch with me?”

However, if I say, “I rarely eat during the day,” then “How about lunch?” could mean, ““You don’t eat lunch?”

If I say, “They have a great dinner menu,” then “How about lunch?” means, “How is the lunch menu?” or “Do they serve lunch?”

Great help! I think the person who gave this sentence is giving me a hard time everyday. “How about lunch?” bothers me.

Wonder what lions say to each other when they see a gazelle.

“Want to grab a bite?”

you invite us lunch together?

And we do not appreciate advertising here: you have been reported, and may just find yourself “out to lunch”.

Not a problem, thanks for explaining, and sorry for jumping on you so quickly.  We have some advertisers here who constantly get in the way, and we look out for them
Welcome to the site.  Hope you can join in.  We have lots of fun, and banter a lot, as well, but it is amazing how we do come to use the words of the day a lot more.
I find myself using new vocabulary all the time thanks to this site, despite all the crazy repartee we get involved in.  Please to join us.

Crazed repartee - all that is left once Luke has taken the floor.

Crazed?? You bet, but I am not completely crazy, just have a few pieces missing, like Mary’s little lambs, lost and she did not know where to find them.

Luke took the floor? I wondered who stole it.

...just have a few pieces missing….

The makes you a jigsaw puzzle. Look under the sofa.

So her father shot the ram.
