I’ve read a book entitled “The Little Prince”. I’ve learned a lot of diomatic expressions there. Some phrases have subliminal meaning. Could it be an idiom, too? Or merely a figure of speech? How about the phrase/words “MATTER OF CONSEQUENCE”?

“My favorite book.”

Luck? I don’t know anything about luck. I’ve never banked on it, and I’m afraid of people who do. Luck to me is something else: Hard work—and realizing what is opportunity and what isn’t.

I’ve also read that because you told me to do so. Actually I’m not really sure if that book is for children because some of the words there are for grown up like us already. But the book is really good I can not deny it, the thing is, they’re plugging it as a book for kids.

Comment regarding “MATTER OF CONSEQUENCE”

According to Dictionary.com, consequence means importance or significance. Therefore, a matter of consequence means a matter of significance.

For grown-ups, consequence implies TIME and RESULTS. It is the inevitable outcome that most of us get from our “time-bound” and “results-oriented” mentality. Grown-ups are so obsessed with these two. We are in a business-oriented world where most people value their time more on work, focusing on productivity or profit or results. Most of us do this instead on other, more meaningful activities like playing with the children or taking a walk in the park with a loved one.

Here is the thing about the future: every time you look into the future, it changes… because you looked at it. And changes everything. (-_-)

As was browsing some threads, I’ve been reading about The Little Prince. I’ve learned that this is a book- a children’s book. I was induced to search the web to buy a copy of that book. The story is full of imagination. I’ve learned a lot from it. Here’s one of my favorite lines:

Flowers are so inconsistent! But I was too young to know how to love her …
