Is there any truth in the rumour that a dyslexic worm will be released when the 10,000th subscriber signs up, and the world will be plunged into illiteracy ?

DictionarY10K is approaching fast !

9975 and counting.  Is there a Gerund plot ?

Y2K was dative, and benign - what happens in case DictionarY10K is ablative and the move away from literacy becomes cataclysmic?

Then we’ll all move to the forum in the sky, with few changes. After all, in the beginning was the word….followed shortly by the first play on words: “Madam, I’m Adam.”

Cor blimey, it’s Cory - DictionarY10K happened yesterday, and it looks like it was Cory on a countback.

No fanfare from the GOG’s ???

I don’t know, but a mere 5 months later we’re now past the 30,000 mark!  Many of them are advertisers, and Luke does his best to repel the onslaught, but it’s a losing battle.  snake

I feel like George and the Dragon. Or King Arthur and the Dragon, (or was it his father Uther?) I love to watch the new names as they sign up at the bottom of the forum page, and then wait for a
commercial from them.  One can almost tell by the names they use for posting who will be an advertiser.  [I know, I need to get more of a life].
One thing, however, before I post any response to their advertising I always send them a PM with the same info in it.  And I have never received a reply to the PM, not one, not yet.

Now we’re up to 40,000.  Exponential growth!  According to the member list, only about 1,750 of these have made any (legitimate) posts at all.  And I note that the number of genuine ‘active’ members is very small.

And I think that the advertisers are very repetitive.  Same advs. keep re-appearing but with different posters. Either they are changing their name and re-signing up on the site, or their dumb
advertisements are really popular, yet no one ever seems to post and say thanks for the advertisement, it was really helpful. I am thus led to believe that they are just one time events with
posters just using a different name. That pollutes the 40,000, if it is indeed true.
